Hi,
I have a 1987 Nissan Sentra, 5 speed manual transmission, 1.6 L.
The car was taken apart. The head was checked for cracks, re-surfaced, by a professional machine shop. The valves and seats were all done by certified shops.
When I get the car, white / blue smoke is launched from exhaust.
I check the spark plugs and only one is filled with black “gunk”, burned oil.
They perform leak tests and compression tests … All good!
They re-adjust the valves and double check the seats. Everything seems fine.
Still smoking and burning oil very fast.
Now, they want to try a re-built carburetor and spend more money on it.
Do you have any suggestions? … Thanks! …
