I know this has probably been answered b4 but i have been searching the forums for a couple of hours and i havent found what i need to know. Well here is what i have so far Greddy type s blow off, turbo mani, Profec E-01 management system, tial 38 mm wastegate, and 550 cc injectors, what turbo would i need to get close to 300 whp that will spool up relatively fast?I dont want to spend more that 600.00 on a turbo. I need to know what the specs for the turbo i need to so i can order it. All opinions are welcome.

the turbo needs to have a t3 or t4 flange if that helps

you have a lot of options here. i would suggest talking to Phat-KAT, Structure240sx, IvanAtSPracing, WDRacing, Red-KAT, and many others that could tell you what their setups and their reccommendations are. i'd say you could make that power with a T3/T3, but i mean i have not had a lot of experience with a lot of different turbo's, which is why i suggested talking to the guys above. the actual housing matters little, since you are not going for BIG power, while the wheel specs and other factors matter much. i'm sure you'll be hearing from the guys above. in the mean time keep searching the forum, and changing the nature of your search, from new to archived and whatever else, because there are so many things even on the front 10 pages of this forum about turbos and what is right for applications, etc. for $600 you can get a great turbo, so you don't have to worry about spending more than that unless you're one of those guys that wants the best of the best and won't settle for less.

a t3/t4 50 trim for the small side. Otherwise a SC61/3 is a great street turbo.

300whp from a T3/T4 is a reachable goal. Trying to get 300whp from a T3 turbo is definitely a challenge.

Orion hit 300whp at 12psi from a 57trim turbo.SC61/63 are great turbos (from what Ive read), but cost too much and are good for way over 300whp.

Read up on the different trims of T3/T4 and compare some maps. The common T3/T4 50 trim may be a good starting point.

The basic, general, easy answer to the 300rwhp question for a KA-T:

T3/T04E, 50-trim compressor (.50 or .60 A/R doesnt matter)...

.63 A/R turbine, Stage III wheel...

External wastegate, the TiAL 38mm is a great choice.

You said you were gonna use the Profec E-01 management system. Just in case you didnt know, the Profec E-01 is a boost controller that you can also use to control the eManage, you cant tune an engine just with the Profec E-01. You may have meant the eManage too, but i was just making sure you knew.

The 50-trim compressor with .63 A/R turbine would make for a good street turbo
