as the title says... after i took my 240 to a body shop to get my quarter panel repair after that he told me that my brake light is always on even if you didnt step on the brake pedal... i print out a diagram and check it out... i might think that it might be my switch on the brake pedal... but im not sure and my brake light on the cluster is always on too... can anyone give me any suggession on what is wrong with my brake lights... thanks...

There is a small (size of penny) rubber bushing on your brake pedal.

If that is missing, sensor will be on all the time and brake light will come one.

Nissan dealer sell the part for $2~8.

note: clutch pedal uses the same bushing.

i would try to unplug your brake light switch on the pedal and see if it fixes it. if it does it might need that bushing or just adjustment. and for the brake light on the dash there is a switch on your e brake do the same thing with it and check your brake fluid level. let us know what you find.

well as for the brake light i did unplug the switch and it went off and check to see the bushing too its still there... as for the ebrake light when i pull on the ebrake you can see that it get even brighter and when i turn on the car and step on the gas pedal you can hear a buzzing sound under my feet near the brake pedal...

I am having the same problem, but I'm 90% sure that I just need a new bushing.

There are TWO bushings under the brake pedal. Make sure both of them are still there.

this is your problem. Get this bushing and your lights will turn off. You don't have check anything else.

look up clutch pedal in tutorial in my signature. there is some pics and part number for bushing. the brake light switch is 5 bucks at rockauto. not sure what your problem is though.
