Hey, I'm new here & I'm trying to get rims, tire & brakes. I have a 92 240 hatchback, I'm planning on getting the Auto Tuning 5 lug conversion hubs from Heavy Throttle Performance. I'm also looking for 5Zigen Pro Racer GN+ in 17x7.5 +48 up front & 17x9.5 +22 (or maybe +38) for the rear. I'm pretty much in the dark about tires, I was thinking of either Yokohama or Toyo but beyond that I don't know which model or what sizes, but I want to keep the overall wheel diamiter close to stock as possible. So I guess my questions are, does anyone have or know about these conversion hubs? What's a better offset for the rear, +22, +38, or is that just preference? Tires... any opinion or info would be awesome. & finally, once I get the hub conversion, what do I do about brakes, I want a upgraded brake setup, but is there any rotors or anything I can just put on for now that fit my calipers without just drilling 4 lug rotors?

you dont HAVE to have the 5lug..although it does give you better choices in wheels.

anyways.+48 17x7.5?!+48?!?!unless you want to run some spacers.. i'd advise you to stay away from that.

tires.. i dont kno much about either. so ill let others chime in.

brakes, you can do the z32 brakes and just re-drill the holes to fit the 4lug pattern if you dont go 5lug..

I just noticed they also offer it in a +42 & +35, Thanks for making me double check. I really do want the 5 lugs, so once I have them on I can just use Z32 non turbo rotors & they will work with my stock calpiers?

that offset is insane, slim it down by like half and your set

Well, here's my S13 wheel fitment.

17x9 +517x10 +10

235/40 and 255/40

OEM fenders with slight pull.

The offsets you listed are quite high. My fitment wasn't the easiest to make work, but should give you an idea of whats possible on stock fenders.

will that much a difference in front to rear wheel width make the car ride kind of funny?

i remember reading somewhere, maybe not on NICO, that staggering the wheels past a certain point changes the handling characterstics more so than if it were a slightly less staggered setup

2 inches of stagger is way extreme. Why promote the understeer that your s13 already has?

whiterps13 is correct...that's a ton of stagger, especially for S13. You need to try and stay within 1 inch difference.

Also, your fitment is going to make the rear wheels stick out much more than the front wheels. Ideally, I would go with 17x8.5 +15 to match that 9.5 +22 rear.

If you can't find a similar setup, don't buy those wheels. That fitment is just terrible.

Personally I think staggering is stupid on anything other than high end supercars and wide-bodies. I have 17x8.5 +25 all the way around, and highly prefer it over any other staggered setups Ive driven on.

Now when youre making 800whp in your supra and you need to stuff some 18x11's in the back, you have no option.

BTW, I loved the SCC Street Car Challenge LS1 RX7 that was stuffing 18x10's all the way around. God damn, it must be nice.
