NEED HELP not sure if i'm getting ripped off

i am looking into buying a 1996 240sx se but i'm not too familiar with this car. I only picked it out because it looks great the dealer wants 7900 for it its totally stock pearl white a few minor scratches in the paint should i try to talk him down and if so how low should i go? also have a question ........i was reading teh forum and i'm a little confused about the classifications not to sure about the s13 or s14 or s15 thanks in advance for ANY help in this matter

s13 was '89 to '94 240sx, '95 and '96 was s14, '97 to '98 was hte mcs14 (minor change, it had diff. front end, diff. tails, diff. guages, little stuff like that), and the s15 silvia was only in japan. its awesome. anyway, about the car you are looking at, yes, get him down. how many miles is on it though? is it an SE? depending on all that, you can get him down some.

it has 61k miles on it and yes it is an se kbb retails it at 10765 but when i read how much other people are buying theirs its much lower than the price he is asking just wanna make sure before i get ripped off thanks again

I think even with 61k, its still too high. That price is more reasonable if it was a 97 or 98. Just my 0.02.

I got a 95 pearl white se, 105k miles for $5100, from a private seller, you are gonna pay more from a dealer. That has low mileage. For an SE from a dealer you are in NO WAY getting ripped. What kind of options?

thanks guys i think i might buy it i'll try to talk him into the lowest price i can get but thats in every situation ........i think the guy said all the options available except leater seats i'm not sure what those are as opposed to the base model from what i can see it has a sunroof and alloys everything else i think is standard
