G20, Sentra, Altima, Maxima, all great cars for that price with plenty of room. She could find a 98-00-ish Sentra or G, not sure about Altimas or Maximas. Lexus GS, Mazda 626, just a few, not sure on the last one.

Masterman I'd tell your mom to keep a lookout for a 4th gen Maxima. Even the 3rd gens are amazing cars. They are VERY reliable. I have two friends w/ 3rg gens, and if their cars are still running, I promise, your moms will run great, forever, as long as it is maintained.

If she simply wants to drop 8, then get a new as possible Altima or Maxima. They will run forever. If she wants to drop 8, then make payments, look at a new Nissan, or an Infiniti off lease or something like that.

If she drives a LOT and then trades her car off, then yea, go for a lease, but if she plans on keeping the car for a while, screw leasing.

I believe Apexi meant a car that just got off lease, which would be a really good idea because of the mileage limits and maintenance and stuff. We had an Avalon for a while, a 96', it needed new brakes pretty bad when we got rid of it a year and a halfish ago, go Maxima if you need really big.

Go with Maxima. My parents have a 95 that has never had a maintenance problem. It has been driven to California once, Florida a half dozen times, Colorado maybe 10 times and then everyday city rush hour traffic since 95 and it still runs like brand new. They are great cars.
