I have a 95 240sx with the KAI need help naming this part. I was driving and then i started to hear noise. Then my temp gauge went to hot. I popped the hood and saw that there was a hole on that part exactly where the yellow dot is. I JB welded it for now but i want to replace the part. Your help will be greatly appreciated. I might not get back to the forum quickly so if you don't mind please send me your respons to [email protected]

That is where the upper radiator hose connects to the intake manifold. It is part of the mani. It also has a hose that goes back to the heater core. Unless, I am not seeing the part you mean.

It's looks like it's the heater core hose junction. I don't know the actual part name that the dealer will use but if you take it to the dealer and show the parts guy what is it he can look it up.

I don't know if you can separate it from the upper intake mani, can you? It may be cheaper to go to a junk yard and get a new upper, or you could take it to a machine shop and get it welded up.

If anything, it will require that you heat the aluminum (in the oven to 450+) and then press it out. You will then quickly have to press the new part in. This is a technique that is used in factory production. This is not something that you or I usually do, especially when you can guy the upper intake for 20 bones. But do what you like, it can be a learning experience to the brugeoning metallurgist.

Ohh, I forgot to mention that you will have to keep the brass at room temperature or cooler. Since brass is likely to be more expansive, it would have to be pretty cool. Good luck working that out without cracking the metal by cooling it too quickly.
