I have a M45 Sport and the car will not start - brake is locked / hard and won't depress to start the car. Don't think it is the battery - any ideas?

Thanks for any help

SWAGS ...

1. Something propped/jammed under the brake pedal perhaps?

2. Some fuse has blown perhaps?

3. Do the car's electronics come on?

4. Is the transmission not in Park, perhaps?

Sounds like you may need to call the Infiniti dealer and get the car flat-bedded in (I assume it is under warranty).

I am a new owner of an '06 M45 with what seems like the same problem... It's totally 'dead'. No lights, radio, or anything else... The brake is locked/hard and car will not start. I've finally managed to remove the battery. I should have a new battery in tomorrow morning. Any ideas what can else be affected when battery is replaced?

Sounds like the ole cold weather dead battery syndrome. Replace the battery. All should be fine. You should use a memory saver type device. You should be able to pick one up at local auto parts. It usually will keep sufficient power to the system to keep items from locking out or losing your preset features. This is done through the cigarette lighter outlet or a 12v outlet.Sometimes it might be required to keep power at the terminal end themselves due to some cars not allowing power to cycle back through the system. Unless the battery is putting out enough volts, the car will not respond until adequate voltage is introduced back to the electrical system. Hope this is you guys only problem.
