hi so ive decided to skip the lip kit i had in mind. and just lower it and get the paint job i want.but there are soo many springs out there i dont know what to chooose.just want to do the springs, none of the extra components, and i understand this could mean possible faster tire ware. i had my last car lowered 02 mitsubishi spyder, with tein, and never had any problems.heres a few im looking at. they each vary in drop length.im really feeling the megan springs as it lowers to 1.25" i feel thats perfect :

or theres the tein h tech wich i heard and read they are made especially for my ZR. but will only lower 3/4" :

I got Eibach Prokit springs on mine. It's about a one inch drop.

The springs are progressive so they're supposed to be a little bit more forgiving on the glutes.

Here's the problem; lowering my car by just that one inch has reallymessed up my camber. I purchased some Goodyear F1s at the same time that I lowered my car. The insides of my rear tires went bald after just 10K miles. These tires are supposed to have a treadwear of 400 too!

I highly recommend you get a camber kit to avoid excessive/uneven treadwear.

Agreed. Camber kit is needed if you want to drop your car and not want to loose your tires. I bought a lowering kit and decided to sell them since I didn't want to purchase a camber kit. As for brand I would recommend Tein or Eibach

and how are your front tires? as i heard from someone to only purchase rear cambers as the front doesnt get damaged as easily.

The rears seem to get more negative than the fronts when these cars are dropped. Here's a pic of the rear suspension.

Front upper control arms and lower rear control arms would be a good mod to go along with springs. Just to ensure tire life.

My front tires are fine. They've given me no problems.Good thing too because front camber kits are about twice as expensive as the rear ones.
