Looking for a Crankshaft Pulley for VK56

Infiniti part number # 12303-1MC0A

I ordered one from local Infiniti but it's on the national back order and that means usually 4-6 weeks to arrive or longer.

Just curious if anyone has one laying around or can put their hands on one locally. I know chances are slim to none but I guess doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks in advance.

Wow, I did a quick search online at indeed, it's a rare object.
Do you have an eBay account? If so, I'd reach out to this person with a half stripped engine to see if they still have the pulley lying around: https://m.ebay.com/itm/5-6L-V8-VK56VD-E ... SwZB9aJc26

2 questions I'm curious about - what happened to yours, and did infiniti mention any special balancing needed on the pulley?

It wobbles. Really bad and unsafe. To the point it is unsafe to drive in my opinion. I have seen harmonic balancer on other engines separating and belt will jump off and on our cars you will lose pretty much everything - P/S, cooling, alternator.

Yes I do have an eBay account. There is only one used pulley listed but I am not sure I want to get a used one. If the rubber is dry or cracked I will get same wobbling as I have right now. It maybe make sense financially - used one $49 vs. new one $301 my cost as a used car dealer/repair shop (list price $405) but it might turned out to be waste of time from the labor stand point.

As far as the people with used engines - they more likely 99% of the time will not sell separate parts from the engine if they trying to sell it's as a whole.

There is no balancing needed for the pulley - just remove the old one and install new preferably replacing both belts.

I gonna try to upload on youtube the video I've shot on my phone and post it here.

I just checked - 2011/12/13 QX56 and Armadas have a different part number. Can be a different animal. Will call my part guy at Circle Infiniti tomorrow to double check. But I think he would mentioned to me if it fits.

Here is the video.

Last weekend I noticed that clicking sound when engine warms up. Was suspecting on of the idler pulleys or one of the tensioners which are easily available. But happen to be a crankshaft pulley that moves the belt and makes that noise. Once you put dielectric vaseline on the belt noise disappears.

P.S. Not sure why I can't post the video from youtube in the message but link should work.
Mod note: It's handled. For some reason, our youtube embed feature doesn't like the shared links from youtube. I open the link in a new desktop tab, and copy-paste the contents of that address bar instead, which enables embedding videos in posts.

Thank you very much!! I bought some parts from them on eBay in the past and messaged them three times on eBay but never got a response. I didn't know they have a separate website. Just ordered the part.

Thanks again.

Thanks again! Ordered part on Friday and received following Tuesday for $153 which is roughly 50% of the wholesale price Infiniti selling this part for in US

Win-win all around.

Since you have a repair shop, I assume you are going to do it yourselves, right? Are you planning to use an impact tool or do you by chance have the Nissan rung gear tool?

It's already done. All you need is the crankshaft pulley removal tool. Remove both belts - long one you can remove from the top, but short one you will need to raise the car on the lift or similar. Plus replacing pulley is easier from the bottom than top. Remove little cover on the transmission bell housing to get an access to flywheel and stick something like a pry bar to hold the flywheel/crankshaft. You will need another person helping you with 19mm socket and just a regular long handle ratchet. There no room for an impact tool.

Ok, thanks. I was curious if you had the Infiniti flywheel/ ring gear stopper.
Kent-Moore part number #J-45476

I always keep an eye out for it
