Need Help~ =) LED Strips under headlights.

Hello everyone.

I decided to do LED DRL after seeing pictures in NY College Point meet thread.



I got 2x 19" White LED strips from oznium... and saw installation write up by Dangeris on how to mount these things.

Now my question is... how do you wire them? I'm a newbie when it comes to wiring . I'm going to wire them to parking lights like Dangeris and coderek. Can someone help me?

What did you wire it to? All you need to do is to wire the positive side of the LED, I think it was the silver to the blk/grn wire of the parking light.

Ok... my first attemt to install these was failure.

I got the bumper off... and attached the strip to headlight.

But I could not get the bumper back on b/c the strips... plus it started raining.

Blah......

i always tell people, u have to do fitment... it doesnt go well with the stock bumper, not enough room. even when u get it on as best u can, its still a pain to put the bumper back on.

You have stock bumper right??? How did you manage???

pretty much you just have to muscle it in and have someone hold it in as tight as possibly to screw the buper back and get all the clips, its def a two person job and three even better

i did it myself before, if the strips are lined up right. its manageable.

does the bumper sit flush when you put it back on the car? In some other pictures it looks as tho the outer part does not sit flush because of the led strip?

mine sits flush but not perfect. I had to push the bumper really hard to get the screws back in but overall you wont notice it, very slightly off.

Yea...that should never happen. LEDs pull VERY minimal current...and of course the Voltage is set by the battery.

This is also why you have fuses...amperage is what would cause heat and thus smoke and you don't have very many lines besides 1 or 2 that would allow enough amps through to cause that.
