Hey guys I've been at this for about a month now and yes i've searched hundreds of times. I have a 92 s13 with a ka24de. Unknown mileage on motor. Problem: Car drives fine untill about 3500 rpm and then it just loses power really, feels the same whether you are giving it 1/4 throttle or full throttle. It just does not want to get up and go. When I got the car it had a bad injector and alot of rust in the gas tank. Since i've had the car this is what i've done.

Cleaned out gas tankInjectors all good and serviced.new fuel filterno cat3inch exhuastaftermarket intakenew ngk plugsnew ngk plug wiresnew dist cap and rotorSet timing between 20-25 checked timing marks via pulling off valve cover (Looks fine)

Im at a loss for what would be causing it to just lose power after 3500 rpm. This is in gear btw, i can free rev it fine in neutral. I changed the fuel pump but im not 100% sure if its great or not, just got it from my friend.

If anyone has any ideas please post up, for what its worth, with the car driving the way it is , i still get 25mpg.

I got a 95 with the same problem, though when you give it full throttle or half throttle, there is a loud "hollow" sound inside the intake or combustion chamber. When I bought the car it ran great except for the timing chain noise so I changed the chains, guides, headgasket, resurfaced the head, new intake gaskets and exhaust gasket, then I had this problem. Ive looked at data stream with my scan tool and found that all my sensors, long and short term fuel trims, O2sensor, everything was in check so I believe that it has to be mechanical. Did you take the timing chains off? If you didnt check the intake manifold runner valves, yours should have it, if they are stuck closed, you will have no power in the higher rpms. Mine doesnt have the valves so I believe mine maybe the cam timing off, I hope, Check those valves better yet, remove your Intake manifold and remove the valves, they dont really serve a purpose. by the way, you should be getting about 30 MPGs if it was running right

remove vacuum hose from fuel pressure regulator and try to drive. improved, check your fuel pressure. remove 02 sensor and drive. improved, replace sensor. do a compression test and check for codes in ECU mode V

Hi all I'm hoping to get some help on trouble shooting to figure out whats going on with my ka24de first off it runs and idles very well its smooth sounding no noises pretty much If I try to accelerate it has no power it's just loud like the timing is advanced but I have check upper lower and bottom it all looks to be correct and the dizzy points at #1 at tdc trouble shooting that I have done is the following and replaced .
Brand new head
All new valve tran
Checked tps 1.86 and 9.00 wot
Swapped mafs
Swapped plugs ( that helped a lil )
New fuel filter and newish walbro
Swapped out dizzy's
New injectors ( about a yr ago )
New timing chain /tensioners
It has hot cam swap ( 3 teeth ccw )
New alt / starter
Knock senor should be good no damage on it or the harness
And not throwing any codes I did notice when I advanced my dizzy code 34 showed up
Msd blaster coil ( about a yr old )
My wires are kinda old but worked fine on my other engine
Egr is blocked / so is most of the vaccum
So if anybody has any suggestions plz do tell , one thing that is stumping me is when I use my timing light I set the dial for 20 degrees it flashes after all the marks on the negative side idk what that means could it be a tooth off on the bottom end
