i just went to look at a 95 240 sx. its an se model, has 5 lugs, white face gauges, lip spoiler, rear spoiler, and abs. The motor has about 108,000 miles on it .... i don't know too much about cars, i was wondering if anybody can give me any tips on what to look for? I test drove the car and its been awhile since i last drove a stick, but i believe the clutch is fine and it sounded and drove okay...i didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. i didn't see any oil leaks around the head and vavle cover....any info will be great.....i hope to be driving a 240 soon....thanks

sounds like you covered most of the baisc's. I would say check the fluids, oil, and trans fluid. Also take it to someone, or one of your friends that knows a little more about cars maybe.

I think if your planning on buying it and just taking it to a mechcanic there is a exception for having it registered and insured.

make sure you drive it at high speeds to make sure that there are no vibrations or alignment issues, also I would recommend shifting into gears at some high revs to make sure the syncros are good, seems like a common problem on 240s

put the driver side window down half way then open and close the door. it should shake bad like mine its a common problem on s14's you can talk down the price a lil more with that. u'll be ok driving it to a shop have them check all the bushings. i got mine with the same amount of miles both strut rod bushings were shot and now my subframe bushings are crap.
