iv noticed lately that my car kind of lags when i start out in a gear. mostly in 1st and 2nd gear. like when im stopped at a stop sign then put it into first and give it gas, it goes but like lags for a fraction of a second then takes off. my first thought was maybe i didnt let the clutch out all the way but i did. it sometimes also happens after i shift into second. its like around 2000rpm i think. the whole car kind of jolts. maybe i need a new clutch? someone please help me.

egr is located at the rear of your intake manifold. gold sauser with one vac line to it. there is 2 ways you need to test this .one is for flow and the other is for vaccum supply.first test for flow by reaching your fingers under it and push the diaphram up while the car is running at idle. if it dies or stummbles severly you have good flow. now you need to determine if it is getting vaccum. since you have a bpt it will be hard to do idleing. if you can get a vaccum gauge use a vaccum t in the line to the egr valve make sure the vaccum line is plugged into the egr when doing it . Place the gauge up under the windshield wiper so you can see it from the drivers seat. close your hood and drive the vehicle give it a good couple accel up to about 30 mph then decel and accel again to 30 mph during the accel prosses you should see a steady 5 to 8 inches of vaccum during the accel. you dont need to punch it just a good accel like taking off from a stop sign in city driving.

I have the same problem in my car. I think that in my instance that it is EGR related but have yet to get my lazy self to check it out. I know that the car stumbles it I open the valve with my hand. I don't know, however, how good of a vaccum signal it is getting or if the diaphragm in the valve has any leaks. Another thing that I have noticed is about a 5 mpg decrease in gas mileage. And I recently changed my muffler to a stainless dual tip design with the tips pointed up and now it turns my bumper black in about 2 days like it is running rich. If youfind anything on your car let me know so I might know where to look.
