I have to do an issue brief for my government class. I need help choosing an interesting topic to do an issue brief about, dont want it to be to complex just something interesting but simple. Thanks!

American Government? You should write on why voting is useless because of special interest groups and labor unions and such. Also write about "system rats" (wishy-washy politicians who's only goal is re-election) and why they are ruining America.

You could also write about how the popular vote really doesn't count for s*** with the electoral college in place, and how the strength of 1 vote is not equal everywhere (1 vote in california has less impact then 1 vote in montana due to the population differences)

How about the exploitation of the upper class by the middle / lower class through the use of popular legislation. In any context they are a minority being exploited by the majority but because it's along economic lines and not something like race or gender it is allowed.
