I have recently purchased the Sony XAV-72BT and the Sony HD Radio Receiver XT-100HD and have basically finished installing the Head Unit but still need help on connecting the HD Radio Receiver to the Head Unit. My main problem is, which really ticks me off because it was totally my fault lol, that I broke apart the car antennae cable that came with the Sony Head Unit. I've sent emails out to Sony Parts & Accessories Department and the website I have ordered it from to see where and when I can get a replacement.
Basically, I have my speakers hooked up and the positive and ground wires are hooked up for the Head Unit. I need to figure out how to hook up my HD Receiver to my Radio. Since I'm not home I can't tell you exactly what I have in front of me, but from what I remember the antennae cable that came with the HD Receiver has the male end that hooks up into the HD Receiver and a female end that hooks up to something else. The wire that I broke that came with the Head Unit had the male end that I assumed hooked up into the HD Receiver's Antennae Cable and also had this blue wire attached to it but I'm not sure what that was for. Then on the factory wire harness, there was the single blue radio antennae wire.
I will post pictures up on monday when I get home from PA, but from anyones basic knowledge, do you know what to do or know how you could help me out at all?
Sorry for the long post, I'm just mad nervous right now lol
Oh yeah I forgot to mention this, when I wanted to test out to see what everything would look like fully installed, I put the dash kit together and had the Head Unit in the dash kit, but the Head Unit kept falling out of the kit. How can I stabilize the Head Unit so it will stay in place?
