Need help installing new H/U on 01 QX4, where do i connect the ground?

Hi guys i am new to the forum. I just bought this 01 QX4 and i am installing a new head unit since the bose cd doesn't work. My only problem is that i can't get the H/U to power up. I am guessing is the ground. is there a ground connection on the factory h/u harness, or i have to connect the ground onto the chassis? I have been reading the factory service manual and it says the ground is supply through the case of the h/u? that kinda confuse me since the factory h/u is bolt on a plastic? i need your help guys, thanks. and sorry about the long posting .

just screw it to the radio and your good.

Thank you. But do you mean ground it on the radio mounting screw?
