Ok just wondering if anybody can help me out on installing an AMP to my stock head unit. My ride is a 03 Maxima SE. I hooked up everything already, I think, but it seems like I can't find the Power off wire for the AMP to connect to, so power is on constant just for now until I find the right wire to connect it to. Also when I turn up the volume somtimes the music cuts off kinda like a skipped CD. Also when I turn on my headlights the Light on the OEM head unit screen goes blank. Please HELP!!!! THANKS in advance!!!!!

Not a car audio guru, but...You should have the amp powered directly from the battery. Positive cable runs to the battery, with a fuse 12-18" from the battery. Be sure the ground is as close to the amp as possible, and is in full contact with bare unpainted metal.

You should attach the remote on wire to something thats only on when the radio is turned on. A power antenna lead is perfect.

If you have it wired correctly, I cant understand why the lighting on the head unit cuts out when you then on your headlights. And because the amp cuts out when you turn it up leads me to believe your overloading the circuit and the amp turns off cause is not getting any juice.

Ok I decided to, for now just stick without the amp so I unpluged everything on the amp to the OEM stereo. The only problem I have now is that my Meter(dashboard) lights are dead. Does anybody know where the fuse is? I checked every where, including the engine bay and under the steering wheel. I checked most of the fuses. DAMN it should have left my car alone!!!!! HELP ME!!!!

i dont know why ur dash lights dont work.

if you pull out your radio, you will see a blue/white wire. tap a wire to this and run it back to your amp and connect it to the remote. this will turn your amp on and off with the radio.
