Need help installing 6x9s in my 9 infiniti J30
Hey, need help. I bought two MTX thunder axial 6x9s and im trying to replace the factory bose speakers....only problem is the MTXs run off of two wires and the bose speakers run off of four wires from the factory deck. I am trying to figure how to just splice the four wires to run into the two MTXs but i cant figure out which wires are positives and which ones are ground. Also i am running two 10 inch subs in my trunk with a 800w Audiobahn amp and when i tried connecting the MTX 6x9s, some combination of wires sent a rumbling feedback into my subs that just shakes my damn car. Any replies i would be very appreciated. Thanks.

hang on, do NOT cut the plug off of those four wires.
The two wires you need come out of the amp. YOu can get to them by removing the amps from the back of the speakers. You'll see that there are two wires that go to the factory speaker. Those are the two you use. I *think* they're red and green, but that's just because that's what they are on my Q45.

I see you're in milwaukee, WI. I was just up there for the past month. You didn't by chance get a NICO card put on your car, did you? Also, what color is your J30?

yo man thanks for helping me figure out why the hell there was four wires instead of two.....will have to mess with gettin the amp outta those speakers and hookin up the mtxs...i hooked the mtxs up to my amp for my subs and HOLY **** are they loud...still not enough bass for my taste so i will have to wire them up to the head unit and then i will have one bad *** system in my 94 J30. thanks alot man.

oh yeah...forgot about your question....nah i dont have a nico club card or whatever it is your talking about....and my J30 is the dark green color....woulda either taken the gold or white but this was the only J30 i could find in milwaukee. Everyone who rides in my car always say these same words "Man your car rides smooth." Always makes me feel good about my purchase.
