its not hard at all to do. its just time consuming. i replaced the clutch in my dads 96 SE, and it wasnt bad at all. the only thing that was a pain was trying to drop the transmission out of the tunnel, and then trying to get the transmission back into the tunnel and onto the input shaft. other than that everything else was typical unbolt this and that. youre def gonna want a transmission jack. oh yeah we did it with the car on jack stands, so that didnt help make the job any easier. if youre inclined go for it, and save your self some cash to buy something else.

well the maitenance manual doesnt help much, only to unplug the sensors on the transmission then remove the propeller shaft and support the transmission with a jack then remove the slave cylinder and starter, and unbolt, the only thing you might need is the exact torque for each bolt as you put them in.

one last thing i found to help a poop load is to take out the passenger side motor mount and let it drop down as far as it goes so you can remove the trans and stab it in a lot easier, this i did using jackstands also and am onto my second clutch since the one i replaced last year was a defect but luckily was under warranty. good luck

Best tip I can give you is that when you put it back in, in order to get the bellhousing to properly clear the transmission tunnel, push the rear of the transmission against the top of the tunnel (floor of the car), then move the bellhousing up into place. There really isn't any other way to get it properly aligned as far as I can tell.
