Hey guys im looking for some info on a turbo i got for free. Im wondering if it will work in a kat setup on the sohc Ka and maybe what it was in to begin with. i tried to run the tag through garrets site but didn't get anything. Thanks in advance.

* edit. I did find out this motor was on a 300zx engine from japan and there is a sticker that indicates it was purchased from SHOWA parts in japan.

Looks like some kind of T25/T28. Measure the hole spacing on the turbine inlet to verify.

IIRC, no way to tell trim unless you open it up

It's a T28, will be good for low boost and very little lag.

being thats its prob half the setup from a 300zx wouldnt it pop before i even hit 6k rpm on a 2.4l motor?

It from a Z. The little 4 bolt outlet from the turbine housing gives it away... well along with the tiny .48ar housing. It's more like a T22 than a T25 if you want to think about it, its small. Yes it will work, it'll bolt up to any T2 manifold and can be clocked to work with I/C pipes just like any T25 or T28 can. That turbo will make about 200whp at best but it would make for a neat (tiny) supercharger feel with all the turbocharger noises. Would work great on a go-kart or riding mower
