need help in resetting seat memory and remote

I just installed a new battery. I just noticed my rmote isn't working and the memory for my power seats and steering wheel aren't either. I have the post where it explains how to reprogram your remote, that doestn.t work. I know this procedure works because I used it two weeks ago when I bought a new remote. Something must have happened when I switched batteries. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks Wayne
