I've been driving my 240sx for almost a year now with the basic mods like the Intake and exhaust. But lately I've been gettin burned by the usual family sedans. I wanna turbo my KAde but I'm just a noob to the turbo stuff. If I can at least get a list to wat I need then I can figure out the rest.

Dont street race... And take that wing off!

Besides that there is a lot of junk that goes into a turbo kit.

I would sugest for you're 1st turbo to get a kit. Like IAP (A Sponser) There are other ones like Greddy which a few of us have... But if you ever want to beat a stang dont go Greddy for cost sake.

And yer sig... You needa watch out for the 5.0's they can spend less $$ easy and whoop uss. Take my bro for example. a 350z drops $7500 and puts 400whp now...

I can't take my wing off. In order for me to keep modifying my car I have to keep the wing on. Let's just say my girl bought the wing for my b-day. She said if i take it off then I can't modify my car no more. It's like a trust thingy. And no I don't street race. I'm always at the track.

Geez guys he asked about what turbo set up to go with, not what your opinion is about his car. Anyway, I think one of the best turbos on the KA series engine would be the T3/T04E .50 trim .63 A/R.

IAP sells kitsPhatKa-t.com sells kitsFMax sells kitsI'm sure there are others I'm forgetting. each kit is a bit different in terms of cost/what's included. figure out what you want/require out of your car (smog compliance? AC? just plain cheap?) and figure out which kit is best for you.

Running IAP and no problems...With exception of my 13yr old car being a PITA. New clutch ready to be installed.

Who brings the family wagon down to the track, dude don't say you don't street race to save face. And you should take the wing off and ask your girl if she would like it on her car if you do it right she'll go for it because it makes the car look like a stupid ricer owns it........ or wait does one? j/k anyways on the list of stuff just look at what is included with any stage one kit that should give you a good Idea and Even for a budget set-up about $2K should be around the cheepest your willing to shell out because you still want some reliability, don't cut corners in the fuel department and take care of timing and you should be golden. If you stay low with the boost (under 6psi for sure) you probably don't need an Intercooler there still a good Idea but it would be a way to save a few greenbacks at startup of the project. what is the car gonna be used for anyways? Street,strip,auto-X? Peace, Pat

I plan on using the car for drifting. Right now I'm just trying to get the turbo set-up laid out cuz I'm working on my suspension settings right now. And yes i street race sometimes just to save my face. Man wassa wit all these Hondas. I got stock Civics trying to race me. Hahaha...well yeah, thanx to the guys who show some respect here.

Actually the wing does come in handy. It makes the car look so unresistable to those stock Civics. By the time they're switching to second gear, I'm gone....

I've never met a person that didn't laugh when seeing a wing like that on a car - believe me bud, unless you enjoy being laughed at - I'd take that wing off. It's ugly, doesn't fit the lines of the car at all, and serves no purpose. You don't need a ridiculous wing to attract kids in their civic's - they "race" any and everyone.

Sorry for the rant on the wing - but how anyone puts that on their car thinking it doesn't look bad is beyond me, and they annoy the hell out of me.

As for turbos - don't skimp out..don't go the 'cheapest' route - save money to get a good set up.

Good luck with your car.

Good thinking taking the wing off. If my g/f got me a wing like that i'd make her take it back and buy me something i'd want on my 240.....hey...you can put it towards your turbo. or some rims, or bodykit. goodluck with your turboing
