I think i have an electrical prob keeping my sr from cranking. I need someone in the area that could help. Has track masters worked on SR240s before? thanks

if you could post the problem your having and what you have tried so far, maybe someone could help you on the forums. Is your electrical problem related to the harness?

I dont believe trackmasters has done any sr cars. Only turbo hondas and such. I think he is trying to get into the nissan scene though.

Trackmasters has done two sr swaps recently. I wouldn't say they would be good at tracking down weird electrical problems simply due to lack of hands on. I'm not sure who to send you to around here for that. You'll probably have better luck searching more towards Atlanta.

im starting to think its a timing thing. all 4 coilpacks are firing and i hooked up a noid light and all the injectors are pulsing. If i have fuel and spark then when i turn it over it should at least sputter even with an electrical prob. Right???? can Anyone help?

unless its WAY off timing it wont crank. Did you mess with the timing at all before you tried to crank it. Like messing with the timing chain or CAS? and make sure everything is plugged in. Especially your ECU. You may have overlooked something small but im sure you know that.

And is this a freshly swapped sr or has it run before in your car and you tore it down for something? Alot of this information would help.

If you did a lot of diagnostic and think its you timing, make sure you did it right and redo it. when i did my timing i went to re-enthalpy.com....and then go to tuning info and then scroll down to sr camshaft alignment. It helped me alot. And then make sure your CAS is aligned correctly according to service manual.

And I heard one of the sr20 motors done by trackmasters is knocking really bad. Could have been the owner abusing it though.

I swapped the motor in and had to swich the car to 5speed. All the 5 speed electronics seem right. (reverse lightswork, jumped coorect wires) When i got the motor i took it to a local mechanic shop to put on a new head gasket. he might of done it wrong. I appreciate the feedback.

sorry its http://www.rs-enthalpy.com.....yea it wouldnt hurt to redo the timing on it. but i figure a mechanic would know what he would be doing. But before you redo the timing, first just check it and see if it is correct. You know...turn it to TDC and see where the marks are at. It should be 10 oclock on the intake side and 12 oclock on the exhaust side. If the timing is close to correct, i doubt its your timing. Only if its 180 degrees off will it not crank.
