I haven't really been on this site in a while. But if its anything like it used to be nico had some bright people on it.
Anyways I'm In a very competitive trivia league at one of our local bars thats every Tuesday night. . Winner of the night gets a $100 bar tab and turnament winner gets 4 season tickets to the sabers. I want to win. Every week a random pic is posted online that we have to guess. I'm stumped, Anybody know what this is. Image

thanks

It looks like a bolt handle assembly for a bolt action rifle, though I'm not sure which make/model.

Rifle bolt and extractor. Hard to say what from. Looks modern. Too busy for a Mauser and wrong proportions for a Mosin.

Kinda hard to make out what is stamped or etched on the end. I sorta make out BAFE. Which stands for Bolt-Action-Field-Equipment I'm guessing?

I agree. The two things sticking out on the right end is likely the "safety".

I have an old Remington rifle with a similarly located safety.

These guys are pretty sharp. That is definitely modern, but looks like a very short action. I wouldn't be surprised if it was chambered for something like this:
