need help identifying turbo

i bought this turbo and this is what the dude told me about it

"Its a precision turbo it says on the comressor . dont have to much info but i took it today to the guy that is doing my swap and he told me that the turbo was big and capable to do over 500 whp. he also said that it looks like a t3/t3 bigger turbine with smaller compressor thats why hes saying it looks like a t3/t3 instead of t3/t4other than that its in perfect conditions" the inlet is 3 inches wide



now what of downpipe will bolt up to this? and what is the plug for on the elbow? is it necessary? i can safetly do 270-300 hp maybe more on 480cc injectors with this right? any other info would be great thanks!

We cant tell you a damned thing about the turbo specs wise.

What you need to do is take measurements with a mic of the wheels to figure out what trim it is. It looks like a hugee exhaust housing though. If you go to garretts website, and go to the turbo tech section it tells you how to do all that. You can get a cheap mic for under 10 bucks and it does the same thing as a fancy one. A mic is a nice thing to have, you'll definitely use it more than once.

As far as a downpipe goes, your going to have to have a custom one made. For the flange that will go up against it, it looks like a normal two bolt exhaust flange, you lucked out there. You can pick one up from this website. Just figure out how big the hole is, and order the right flange.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I THINK that is a DSM turbo. Maybe a Big T28. Do some searching under that. If it IS a big T28, no where near 500whp could be made...
