I need help identifying some parts in my engine bay, why? Because it bugs me I don't know what they are.

First part:It is attached to the strut well, it was behind my stock air box

(Pics are filled for part number)

Second part:It is attached to the fire wall on the left side of the eninge.

Third part:This is found on the bottom of the radiator exposed to air

2 is definitely the wiper motor.

Not sure what 1 is, and 3 looks like it could be an ambient air temp sensor or something like that.... don't quote me on that though.

what is the purpose of the resistor?

the temp sensor, can it be relocated somewhere else? I plan to put an intercooler at that location and its in the way

the resisor buffers the shifting i belive, i know on a 240 equipted with an AT, if you remove it, it will shift much harder.

temp sensor could be relocated fine, just make sure it has airflow from the front of the car before the air goes through anything that puts out heat.

Unplug the resistor and take your car for a drive. You will imediately know what its for. What the long term effects on the trans will be is hard to say, I would venture a guess and say maybe broken hard parts i.e. planateries ,sprag, clutch pack teeth...
