Well, the previous owner told me it was Apexi N1 single. It looks like an N1, only, I dont see Apexi anywhere on it?? The tag on the canister says "SR" and there are the letters in smaller print S M O or A. I cant make out the rest b/c it is scratched. I need to know what kind it is b/c I plan on gettig the RSR Ex Mag. This exhaust is too big and too loud after installed the header. Piping is 85MM O.D. with a 114mm tip. I have pics too.

POst some pics so that we can see it. APexi exhaust, specially the single should have "Apex-i" etched on both sides for the canister tip

I think the "ASM" is just the end to JASMA, which (correct me if I'm wrong) is the Japan version of CARB. They regulate the emissions in Japan...

well, thats a start....lol. It has "SR" in big letters to the left. I swear this looks just like an Apexi N1. The piping is coated black, there is a muffler or resonator under the car too. I just dont see any brand name anywhere though. It's of good quality, it's just too big for an N/A car. I want something more mellow and deep. I'm gonna sell this one when I get a new cat back system.

Yeah thats definatly not a Apexi, Is it full stainless or just the muffler. I made up alil list of a load of exhaust made in japan maybe somebody will regonize it off the list.

I remember reading in your post before it got lost that you said you saw sr20 or somethign on the exhaust, And i know Kei Office makes a system just for the sr20. But also trying to decifer the scratched tag the last two letter look to be MA which could be the end of Kazama.

I think there is a Blitz Realize Type SR muffler that was (is?) sold in Japan but I can't find a good picture of it. Could it be that?

I assume the pipe is stainless, it's coated black like the Apexi is. That tag says "SR" in big letters on it

As you can see, there is a muffler, I guess that would be a muffler, under the car. It looks like an N1, it's all 1 piece.

Ok, looked at Blitz Japan site, I guess they don't make the Realize Type SR anymore, but, I saw the JASMA logo, that's DEFINITLY what that says on the muffler tag. I guess this is a Blitz Realize SR exhaust.

hmm my apexi has the small badge with the apexi logo and what i guess is the serial number, you think manufacturers could place the badge in a better spot so it doesn't get rubbed off.

MECPinstaller, ar eyou sure you don;t have a APEXI Muffler welded onto custom piping.. I know APEXI puts their badge on jsut the mufflers but not the whole unit.

Well, I guess that it is Apexi. I thought it was b/c it is 1 piece. Here is a horrifying experience that I just had with my exhaust. I've had the silencer in for a few months. I HATE the way it sounds with that thing in there and it kills my performance above 6,000rpm. It does make it much quieter, which means I can actually here my stereo and I don't have to baby it when I see a COP. It isn't so bad with the windows down, but, with them up, the car becomes a big bass chamber and all I here is the exhaust. Anyway......I removed the silencer b/c I'd rather live with the noise than the horrible sound. I pulled the silencer out and there was a chunk of muffler packing behind it!!!! You know, the stuff that is in the muffler that actually does the muffling!!!! I was a little reluctant to post this, but, I just had to. I hope that noone elses N1 does this b/c we are all a part of a 240 family :D BUT, after seeing this, I refuse to buy another Apexi exhaust system. This is just rediculous, I need a new exhaust system!!!

Well, this was already on the car when I got it. Anyway, I guess the verdict is that it is Apexi. Hopefully I'll have the money to get the RSR Ex Mag soon!
