Need help identifying car part

Hello, I have not had time to go visit the dealership to ask what this part is called. It is for a 2011 Nissan Rogue. I am pretty sure it is just a heat shield, but whenever I look it up it just does not look the same. Here is a picture of it
At first I was thinking about removing it and driving without it, but after doing some research, some people advised not to, so now I am considering just replacing it.
The part that I keep finding is number 11 in this picture, but it definitely does not look the same to me.
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

That's the heat shield , part 11 on the schematic. From what I can see it looks fine, why do you feel the need to replace it?

Because it is broken and just hanging so whenever I drive it makes a loud and annoying noise and also I am afraid it will just fall off at some point. The reason why I didn't think it was the same one is because the one on my car is short and very wide it goes all the way over the muffler and to the other side and the one in the picture #11 looks very long and not as wide. So I was hoping someone could confirm for sure which part is the one I need.

Try rockauto.com for your year and application. That is just a heat shield if you are handy you might be able to reattach it with some sheet metal screws or wire or both.

Ok I did a little research on this item. Rock auto does not seem to have them. I found a Nissan parts site and the same diagram you found. Maybe even the same site. These diagrams are often generic and do not represent a pic of the actual components.

Since this is a Nissan dealer I would call them and verify fit. Have your vin number handy so you can give that over the phone if needed.

While the artwork isn't on par with the work of Michelangelo or Steve Ditko, that is the heat shield. It isn't meant to be a faithful recreation, rather it's like drawing a stick figure to represent a human.

I think part 11 in the callout refers to the long shield on the right in the picture. The drawing should show something on both sides of the pipe, but it doesn't, and in the photograph, I'm not convinced its a one-piece shield. I'll go read the other thread now.... lol
