Ok, to make long story short, I bought a used strut bar set for my 240sx hatch. The rear bar doesn't fit a hatch or coupe. Is too short (31 inches, just the bar without the eyelets). I'm suspecting it goes to an older Datsun. Maybe an older Z or sentra. I try contacting the manufacturer but they don't keep track of their design data... I know the eyelets are Nissan/Datsun, they fit the strut bar perfectly. Is just the length of the bar. It misses reaching the strut bars on a 240sx coupe for a few inches... . Here is a link to the strut bar set:

Appreciate any assistance from the Datsun experts...

doesn't look like it's for an S30. IIRC my S30 has 3 bolts on the rear strut towers. could it be that they sent you the wrong bar with the right ends? i'm sure they make these things in bulk then attach the pieces later....

all 70-89 z's used 3 bolts in the rear, I think the z32 uses 2, I know z32's use only 2 bolts up front but the rear I can't recall for sure

I bought the front strut bar from this guy in the classifieds. As a token of appreciation he threw the rear one in the box. He did mentioned the fact that the rear bar didnt fit his coupe and for me to keep it. I checked other bars on Ebay for visual confirmation purposes, and the older sentra and Z's seem to be closer to this one.

I don't think they got the eyelets mixed up, it would it been to much hassle. But the got the actual bars switched around... Anybody with access to a 70-89 Z that can measure the distance between the rear strut towers?? or a engineering data sheet with actual measurements??
