ok so i have been working some issues out with my s13 but i am now stumped. It has ka24de really the only things done to it are egr delete and header/catback.

My alternator went bad about a month ago. i had the ebreak/battery light combo. Replaced the alternator battery light went away but not the brake light. My car was idling horrible so i went through it and found a massive vacuum leak.

When the i start the car for the first time for the day it will start up fine and idle perfect. After i shut it off and start it again it starts but then the rpms will drop to like 100-200 for a second and then go back to 500. Sometimes it will die altogether like when i come to a complete stop the rpms will just drop and lights dim until the motor stops running.

i do not know what is causing it. since the ebrake light is on i think it is the charging system but it seems to check out. what else causes the brake light to be on?

THINGS I HAVE ALREADY TRIED
IT IS NOT BRAKE FLUID
IT IS NOT THE SWITCH AT THE EBRAKE HANDLE
THE ALTERNATOR PUTS OUT THE 14 SOME VOLTS AS IT SHOULD

what else should i check

What was the cause of the massive vac leak?
