Ok I just bought this 240sx and the KA24DE is out of a 1993 240sx and the transmission is out of a 1995 S14 SE I dont know why he did that.....

Anyways So the car was never grabbing the gears so I decided to change the clutch and fly wheel.

After a week of labor I replaced a really worn out clutch and flywheel and installed a brand new exedy organic clutch and a fidanza light weight flywheel.

I got the car running and good. However, the clutch pedal always stays pressed half way and does not return completely. The car is drivable and is always grabbing thanks to the brand new clutch and flywheel but the pedal is way to sensitive. You barely tap or touch the clutch pedal and it quickly engages the clutch. I checked the level of the master cylinder and is all the way up. I checked the position of the pedal and it is in its right place. however I did notice that inside the car you could see clutch fluid dripping down the master cylinder inside the car. I tried bleeding it but dont know how any suggestions please? Thanks

yeah I tried that and the pedal still returns half way. do you think I have a bad slave cylinder? or a bad clutch master cylinder because I saw some clutch fluid drip down the inside of my car

from what i read you should always replace the slave when doing a clutch. also make absolutly sure the system is bled correctly

Yeah it may just be that it needs replaced, should def. not be leaking into the car or anywhere. If it IS leaking, then air is also getting into the system, which means it needs to be bled..not much point in bleeding though if its still leaking.

yeah clutch fluid in the pedal area is deff not what you want to have, iirc that means you have a bad master cylinder..... aka the seal isnt keeping all the fluid in. id say get a new one, get rid of the damper BS and bleed the system a million times, have a buddy help u if possible. and make sure your pedal is adjusted correctly, i fried my clutch by forgetting about that... GL to ya bro!!

That is def a bad master, and brake/clutch fluid eats the hell out of paint!

adjust the screw on the clutch master cylinder if all else fails.
