Need Help! HUD to Analog SOHC

Hey, I have a 89 coupe, th HUD does not work. I have a analog cluster from another SOHC, has the harness and all. I was wondering if it is possible to swap them? How hard is it? Is it plug and go or will I have to solder and all. Do I have to remove the whole dash to get the cluster out? Thanks!

swap the subharness that extends a bit past the cluster and you'll be fine.

I want to convert to analog but I dont want to take out the entire harness, is there a writeup somewhere telling how to wire it up ?

When you look at the wiring behind the cluster, you'll see a section of wiring about 2 feet long that disconnects from the main harness behind the dash. Pull out the subharness for the HUD and put in the one for the analog cluster. Pop the analog cluster in, pull the HUD pod.
