Need Help: How Do I Fix My Driver Side Power Window?

I have a 2001 Nissan Altima w/ power windows and yesterday my window was making a weird noise as I rolled it down. Well, today, I rolled it down and now it won't go back up. All the other windows are fine, it's just my drivers side. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also, can I just take my car in to a dealer to get it fixed?

I would think it would be covered under warranty. It can be fixed at home, but it's a pain and the part will probably cost $50-100. I'm guessing it's a bad regulator.

If you are still undeer warranty (whats your milage?) your delaer will fix for free.

I bought the car with 4 miles and now it has about 24000 miles...Thanks for your help. Looks like I'll be calling a dealer around here tomorrow!

I had that problem on my S13 and it was just the power window motor. Try that if the dealer won't fix it.

Thank you for your responses! Well, I took my car into the neartest Nissan dealer and told them that it could be my regulator (Took your advice). Well, the guy checked it out and it was that PLUS a cable broke, which was making that weird noise. Anyhoo...They called into Topeka for a part, I didn't get my car that day, but they fixed me up with a rental didn't have to pay anything (just $16 for insurance) and the next day my car was back to good :o) Didn't pay for anything because it was still under warranty! Thank you for your advice and your help! It was well worth it.
