I have a 1997 Skyline GT-R front clip and rear suspension assembly. I think it may be a V-Spec because the rear differential is the hydraulic locking one that is used with the ATTESSA-PRO. Is there any way to tell if it's a V-Spec by looking at the motor?

I don't believe that you'll be able to differentiate a V-spec from a non v-spec model by looking at the motor. My understanding is mechanically, (non-aesthetics, i.e CF diffusers, etc.) the V-spec model had the "rear wheel steering/1 degree movement option and that's it. I may be wrong, but with a front end clip...it may be tough/impossible to determine.

As for the rear susp. assembly, I've never really removed or worked on one enough to tell you what to look for. "The mad scientist" is all knowing and will be able to answer your questions more accurately I'm sure...hit him up.

I've been told that the brake rotors are drilled on the V-Spec but the clip and rear already had the brakes removed. I know the V-Spec comes with the ATTESSA-PRO system that uses a hydraulic system to lock the differential if it senses slip under certain circumstances. My rear suspension assembly definetly has this. However, I also know that this was an available option on all GT-R's.

The suspension is supposed to be different on the V-Spec as well, but, my clip and rear already had the coilovers removed as well.

I believe the turbo's are supposed to be different on the V-Spec but I do not know what to look for to be able to tell if they are different.

Anyone have any ideas??
