Need help have car problems

I have 1996 J30. The car stalls once in a while when driving it. The car will start up again but will die again after a while. Can anyone help me figure out what is going on with it.

How's your fuel pump and sending unit? Hows your MAF? Can you give us more info so we could help you?

When I'm on the freeway normal driving 55 mph the car runs fine. In town driving when I pull up to a stop sign and slow to the stop the car sputters and then dies.It always starts right back up , on occasion it will die right away. So after I give it a lot of gas i can perceed. It doesn't always happen at every slow down or stops. I've disconnected the maf and the car dies. I've also disconnected the tps, and the rpm's drop I can still give it gas and it will stay running. Does anybody know how to check the fuel pump and regulator?

Sounds very similar to the symptoms I experienced with a bad fuel pressure regulator. It would get enough gas to start up and run for a few seconds, but then the PR would start "overregulating" and the car would sputter, sound like it was running on 5 cylinders, and occasionally die. The PR was only about $80 and fixed the problem.
