need help hatch stop light not working

i have a 1990 fastback and the stop light on the hatch won't come on, i replaced the bulbs but still won't work =/

I can't remember if the center stop light is on its own fuse or not, but you probably want to check your fuses. If none of them are burned out, check to see if the wires leading to the center light have current in them. This will let you know whether it is a problem with the wiring/electrical or the light fixture.

thnx bcar240, i just checked my chilton manual today and it said the same thing so tomorrow i'm definently going to be checking those fuses >; D thnx again. Oh yeah my reverse lights are out too x_x
