Need Help getting the valve stem seals OUT!!

I still cant get even one out,I have a fsm for the s14 sr20det motor and,It just says to grap them with pillars and pull them out.I did that and they wont move,They will turn,but not pull out.If you have a trick or a special way you got those seals out,please let me know.Oh yeah this is on a s13 sr20det.-thanks in advence-
