I just got my engine back together tonight and I need some help getting it to fire...

It seems to be flooding really bad, but when I remove the fuel pump and crank it over it pops alot. there is definatly spark i pulled the coil and turned it over and it was arcing to the cam cover.

my ecu isn't throwing any codes and I have the CAS in the position it was before I stripped the engine down, the cams and the crank are in time, the onlything really different about the car now is that the intake cam was replaced with one off of a CA16de because my original broke, I don't think that should be an issue tho, if it is an issue tell me tho.

my money is on a timing problem but I have advanced it, and retarded it, and its still not working, I am gonna try and check the timing tomorrow, but tell me what you think, any help would be appreciated.

Definitely check your timing , if it is making that popping sounds or some kind of back fire when you crank it, you timing belt could be off by few teeth since you replace the cam and you had to remove the timing belt,

Try not to arc the spark to the ground, as you will toast your ignitorAlso check the exhuast cam, some times when people remove the cas, the half moon piece on the exhaust cam where the cas plugs in breaks, and it either you won't get a spark at all, or the cas spins intermittently due to some dirt build around it that causes it to spin weakly.

Good luck,
