Hi. I have 57,000 Miles on a Used 2006 Infiniti M45. I'm past 4 yrs now so I need to get an Extended Warranty for it.Competition of Infiniti, which is the first place I've asked to get a quote on the Extended Warranty gave me these numbers.

1 YR $12242 YR $16573 YR $2176

6313614636VINNY TRATANNINI

What do you guys think? My mom told me to do my homework on this first. I'm not to experienced with this but I did learn that theres a big markup on Extended Warranties. How are these numbers?

This is a dealership in Smithtown New York.

Chances of something expensive gong on a 2006 M are minimal. I only advise extended warranties for European vehicles where the part prices are $$$$ and specialized knowledge is involved, never on Japanese cars. I would save that money in the bank and put it towards any possible repairs. If you don't use it you come out on top.

well they already determined that theres a problem with the Struts of the car... squeeking noises from the suspension. So I need to get this warrantee and wait 2-3 weeks and get the struts fixed lol

You can also get the Infiniti extended warranty from Scottsdale Infiniti (ask for Courtney). They are NICO supporters and their price on the extended warranties are excellent.

Be sure to read fine print as wear and tear items are never covered in any warranty after the 12,000 mile adjustment period. Things like brakes, hoses, shocks [which are not leaking], belts, rubber items are never covered.

The things you want to protect prior to 100k are electronics, engines, transmissions, expensive components.

Shocks are wear and tear items that are usually changed at owners expense every 4 years or 60,000 miles.

Bought a M35 with 54000 on it, just out of waarranty, was suckered into buying the aftermarket Allsatate warranty, first claim denied...bad back shocks. Kicked them to the curb. Talked with the local Infiniti dealer (Modern Infiniti) and they goodwilled the replacement of the back shocks, no cost to me, without Elite Plan.
On the Infiniti Elite, the suspension is covered, no wear and tear clause, for the duration of the warranty. Highly recommend the Elite plan (which I am buying this week) and going to your local Infiniti dealer for advice. And NO, I am not an Infiniti employee!!

I would think you could have repaired the suspension for less than any of those quoted warranty plans.
