Today, I was just playing around with my BOV. for the last 3 months I have been running a T to run both my HKS BOV and My Stock BOV! But tonight I took the T off to run just my HKS BOV. I just connect the line from the throttle body to the HKS BOV. Since I through, there is no point of me running 2 BOV. Anyway let me get to point.

When I was driven today after I did the Mod. I have Notice my Car does not pull right. Its like I don't have a Turbo in it or something. I Can Hear the Turbo, but there is no power to push me back to the Seat. There is no Pick up On Highway speed (65-75 MPH). I had to shift down to get more speed. Before When I was righting both BOV. Use to All I had to do is push down the gas a little bit, and I Gain the speed that I want without down shifting! Whenever I let go the gas, I can hear the BOV Blow off Louder then before!

At First I through maybe I had something in the car that is very Heavy, But there is nothing more then my books from School (Max 25 LB) , And a jacket!

So What do your think its wrong?

Stock BOV is leaking I'd bet.

I'd remove it and block off the feed line from the intercooler.

I don't think its the stock BOV!

Because when I use both the BOVs, The Car Boost Great! But When I only Use my HKS, and just unplug the Stock BOV, the car was slow!

So do your think, I should just change the spring in the HKS BOV?

Thats because the boost pressure helps to keep the stock BOV shut, when you don't have it connected it doesn't have the additional force from the pressure line to keep it shut.

I was fixing to point that out too. The BOV will open prematurely during boost if a vacuum line isn't hooked up to it. The reason is, boost pressure is sent into the vacuum line during boost and helps hold the valve shut (spring pressure + boost pressure). Without the vacuum line, the spring has to fight the oncoming boost under the valve all by itself (and obviously loses to the boost pressure)

I don't mean to threadjack but this also concerns me.

i will be upgrading my BOV here shortly and still have the sidemount. Is there a part number or somewhere that I can order a block off kit for the stock bov location for when i go with the aftermarket bov. thx

There is no part that is made to block off the stock bov. Personally, I just cut the hose to it and blocked it off using freeze plugs.

But like all the others said, if the vacuum line to the bov isn't hooked up it will leak. I know this from theory and personal experience.
