I’m finishing up the swap and notice something off with my adaptive cruise and the gap between the lower grille. I’ve noticed others fit more flush but mines have about 1 Inch gap. The lower grille is original OEM and my car is a 06.

This is mine 1 inch gap between grill and cruise so I’m wondering if the 2008 adaptive cruise bracket is different because the length of the bumper is longer? If so I will find a 08-10 adaptive cruise and swap brackets! Image

So guys who have done the 08 sport swap have your lower grille also had this much in space?

I notice a screw on the right side will see if that’s some type adjustment screw.

Mileage is an indication of usage, not an indicator of health.
Amen!
Could you post a close up picture of your 08 sport lower grill with adaptive cruise on my thread? Would like to see if 08-10 use a different distance sensor because mine have about a 1 inch gap between the lower sport grill and sensor I’m guessing because mine is a 06 the sensor of the 2008-2010 is pushed closer to the grille. You know a lot about these cars so if you can would appreciate it. I also see a small screw idk if that is a adjustment that can close the gap?

When my 09 front end had to be replaced after rear-ending a car, the new lower grille had that same issue. The body shop contacted Infiniti to verify they sent the right part#. Infiniti told them that they are aware3 of the slight difference in 'fit', and they have confirmed it has no effect on functionality of the cruise control feature. In other words, they told the body shop: "yah we know ... so what?"

Thanks found out it’s 3 different sensors for the 3 different bumper designs.

The screw is used by the dealership to adjust the sensor to proper aim. I recommend you don't touch it, it won't help the spacing issue
