Well I actually settled for Tiger. I got it for $3900. There price was pretty much won the give and take on the matter, figuring I was expecting to have to do a refresh anyway, worse case scenario.
I went back and forth a whole bunch & settled on them after talking with everyone there seems like 100 times & being sent an acre of pics I requested. After promising me some compression ratios which ultimately wound up not even as good as what I tested it at, & basically cutting the shipping to nearly half I figured why not.
As far as the parts go, the guy said where they do the work at, meaning removing the engine & trans from the clip which is now a Customs stipulation, is pretty busy. And if those parts weren't wrapped up on the pallets then it's unlikely that they'd still be lying around there. He said loose stuff like that basically just gets thrown in the respective scrap piles. He sent someone to look & he asked the mechanics that did the work.... & the stuff is just gone...
Those things are in the pics & he said that they do owe them to me, but as of now they don't really "stock" those parts & he couldn't get approval to strip anything off the other R32 clip they have up for sale. He said if I wanted to I could wait for them to locate something that would work & ship them to me, or I could just get that stuff myself & send them a bill for the total, in which they'd refund me a check.
I asked about a pause in the warranty ticking clock & he did acknowledge that should be an issue & didn't think it would be much of a problem because they do have this issue with me & the missing parts documented & there isn't anyone there that hasn't been involved in my order in one way or another.
That being said... I still want to have it running before the 'original' expected expiration date for the warranty just to minimize the chances for an error. I still have till the 15th anyway. And since I'm gonna take the 'get the stuff myself' & bill them for it route.... Well here I am.
True this has been a little bit of a hassle, but as far as what I was expecting to get and what I actually got.... I ain't b****in about it just yet!
So far I've got everything reassembled back into the clip, compression checked, a Bosch 044 fuel pump sitting on the drivers floor board all hooked up & the ignition switch figured out and live.
I just need those couple parts, then tell you the rest of the story...
