Guys. Believe it or not, I'm reading Nico forums average 5 hours/day, just for researching. The only good place I know is NICO.

I got my final goal > 300~320whp with ca18det I know it's not easy to make 177hp/L.

What i Leanred:T28BB is not good after 300whpT3/T04 is bigger turboI concluded 300whp might stress T28BB so turbo will not last long?

BUt still don't know about A/R and Trim.Man.. this is really pain. i heard 48 trim but i could only found 50 trim.A/R i found .63 (don't even know what that mean)

What t3/t04 turbo do i have to buy? And any good place to buy? (So Cali)And what RPM does it starts to spool in CA18? 3500rmp?

(Reason i choose CA is faster, better higher rpm limit, cheap. KA vibrates too much even at 5000 rpm.)

T3/T04E 50-trim with a .48 turbine A/R would be a GREAT setup. Cheapturbo.com has em for $619. Keep in mind though, a T3/T4 setup is going to be much more expensive. You will need a topmount manifold, custom downpipe, external wastegate, and custom oil feed and return lines.

in the end you'll spend as much if not a little more than a brand new BB turbo.

the t04e housing with the 50 trim is quite amazing in my opinion. very efficient across a broad range. broader than most in fact. the only problem i see (which might not be a problem for you, is that it'll be a little laggy, even with the .48 exhaust side. I think Dee might have used this same turbo build at one point or another se he's really the one who should be answering this =P It might be worth it to step down to something a little smaller if lag is a big issue. Myself, i paid a lot more money for my turbo than i should have (and i'm not going to say how much, EVER) but i talked to someone at turbonetics for about an hour over then phone about which turbo would be best for my car and my needs. Then i ordered that turbo from them... little expensive. But i think thinks worked out well in the end.

Is your project horsepower just for multipurpose events/daily driving, or do you have a specific purpose you are designing your vehicle for, such as solo II, hill climbs, drag, etc?

The previous question is probabally the most important. With that information, you can decide what leeway you have and where.
