need help flywheel resurfacing??

hey i am in the middle of a ka24de auto to manual swap right now and i have a 5 speed transmission and on the engine it has 198,xxx miles should i resurface it while im at it? how much does it cost to resurface? and is it a lengthy process? thanks

Are you putting in a new clutch also? If you are buying a used clutch\flywheel that were used together I dont see why you would need a resurface. But if you have a new clutch with a used flywheel it need resurface for sure. Should be too terribly much somewhere like $40-60. (correct me if I'm wrong)

I would personally use a brand new clutch instead of using an old one. When I changed out my clutch, I had the flyweel resurfaced. It was about $65 with a shim.

Do it right once. Resurface the flywheel and have the pressure plate and flywheel balanced together. It cost me $100.

i would put a brand new clutch kit in it and have the old flywheel resurfaced cost me 55 bucks was done in 45 min and im grabbin great

get it resurfaced. and make sure they noticed its a "stepped flywheel" as opposed to a flat one. there is something like an .008inch step, and its absolutely necessary.

ss82489 you are very wrong. whether or not you are reusing an old clutch or replacing it with a new one, you should resurface the flywheel. also, reusing an old clutch is like reusing an old condom, just dont do it.
