Need help finding parts for 2002 Qx4

Greetings all!

I hope you all can help me. Long story short ... I'm not exactly sure if I am describing this correctly, but my driver side fog lamp is completely missing, including the wiring socket that it connects to. The lamp assembly I can find easily. The part I can't find w/out spending over $1G is the socket that connects to the rest of the wiring harness. If I can just find the socket/connector (not sure of correct terminology), I can simply splice it and be good to go.

Unfortunately, I can't find any place that would sell me just that socket/connector. The dealership will only sell me the entire wiring harness, which they said was some ungodly +$1G....I stopped listening when they said one thousand blah blah blah.

I have already been pulled over twice in the last week because my car can't pass inspection....I got one citation, and because it is recent, the officer that pulled me over a second time didn't write another ticket.

I would GREATLY APPRECIATE if you all can help me.

I'm a bit surprised that they would pull you over for a missing foglight.

But perhaps your best bet is to get the lamp, put it in place and then search junk yards etc for the harness. At the very least, that would buy you some time.

That and no one really uses fog-lights anyway.

Definitely a junkyard or someone parting a car out. Easy fix get on it

Well, the fog lamp assembly also includes the turn signal. So w/out it, the car won't pass inspection.

If I could easily find the other end of the connector, the end that is part of the wiring harness, I wouldn't need to come here. Yeah it's a real easy fix, but unfortunately, thats not the issue. I went to a part of Grand Prairie TX that has over a mile long of just junk yards. I even looked at pathfinders to see if I can find a match, and all were fruitless. They don't seem to have 2001+ models around. Does anyone know where I can at least get to some 2001+ model Qx4s?

I have an extra drivers fog light but I am not sure it has what you need....

Thanks Colombia...I found langston off of that website...they are suppose to look for the connector for me and call me back....sounds promising so far! ...keeping my fingers crossed!!!

asnorton, i appreciate it, but what i need is the other end that connects to the socket in your picture. the part attached to the green & red wires. See below:
