So i'm lifting my 03 pathy, actually i should say i've lifted it. i got the kit from 4x4parts, along with every replacement bushing for my suspension, along with a whole lotta fun stuff. anyway i still want it to be a lil higher, now i know i can get strut spacers from the nx4 website, which bring up a question....which top mount spacer do i get? there are 2 offered. but wut really bugs me is i cant find coil spring spacers for the rear! i've heard of guys like emptyv using the rubber mr. gasket spacers, but in my opinion rubber wears out over time. does anyone know of any aluminum, or any type of metal spring spacers, even polyeurothane ones? or is there another vehicle with rear coil springs very similar to pathy springs, so i could buy spacers that way? i've seen somewhere that jeep grand cherokee v8's have coil springs that fir pathfinders, that true? i'de appreciate any help anyone can give, i've always had great luck with this forum, mostly every1 on here is very helpful.

f***initupagain (Boston) has coilspring spacers. I do believe he said something about having them custom made somewhere. Maybe he'll sign on soon and let you know.

I had rubber spinrg spacers in my 240Z (The BRE springs lowered it TOO much)for about 60K miles. They were fine when I sold it.

And I have them in my trash trailer,

BTW, have the truck off the ground when installing, and some soapy water andand a big hammer help too.

This is what you want Rubber Coil Spacer It's simple, lift the rear en up, slide it into the bottom of the coil as far as you can and you're done. I asked my underbody guy what he thought and he didn't have a problem with them. I'm not to going put something in that I felt could fail prematurely.

thanks empty, i was actually hoping this would catch your attention because i knew you had these spacers, just wasnt sure exactly how to find them, but those arent the spacers that like fit in between the spring andkeep it from compressing are they? they go on top or on bottom of the spring and actually give 1 inch of lift correct? another question, the strut spacers you have, the nx4 spacers, the site offers 2 different top mount spacers, and the difference between the two seesonly to be the size bolts you can get, which ones work for the R50?

The Mr. Gasket spacers go between the coils. Why can't you use them?

because i dont see how a piece of rubber that sits in etween the coils is going to physically push the truck up another ince. when i picture a coil spring spacer i picture a rubber/polyeurothane or aluminum block that sits on top or below the spring.

and now i have another question, so my lift is installed on my pathy, replaced every bushing and a whole lotta other stuff, anyway, i got one of the kits from 4x4parts that came with the rancho struts....well they top out so easy its not funny, do the kyb struts have more travel to keep this from happening? because 1 the strut topping out is wiked annoying, 2. i know its bad 4 the strut. this is a problem i wanna solve soon and now, help please.

The rubber between the coils works. How much it works by is a function ofhow close the coils are before you put the rubber in. It's pretty stiff rubber and just make the spring stiffer.

When you lift up the rear end you'll be extending the coil springs well past an inch of the normal vertical stance. There's plenty of room to jam the spacers in there which will increase the ride height. I put them in the bottom of the coil springs thinking that it will prevent them from falling out.

I actually got OEM lower brackets with 3/8" studs welded into them from Jeff @ NX4. This simplified installation process and was extremely heavy duty. I highly recommend going this route.

ok thanks, i was just gunna order the replacement lower bracket that the nx4 site offers. but actually after seeing how high my pathy is sittin right now after the lift, christ the rear got almost 4 nd a half inches, those rear spring must have been saggin baad. i think ill keep it as is for now intil i get the ambition to have it all ripped apart again.
