Hey guys/gals, could anyone point me in the right direction for finding a personal loan for 3k?

I am buying a bike and want a personal loan, so I don't have to get full coverage and I want to spend about 60-$80 a month on the payments............

Thankyou in advance for any helpful advice!!!!!!! :)

heh yeah man if you're already taking out loans for school, it might be your best bet to just tack on an extra 3k for your bike. low interest rates and it can be deferred till after you get outta school.... it's the best deal you'll ever get.

if you're set on getting a personal loan, you'd better have some credit history. I tried forever to get a loan for a 240-- I applied all over the place. Never could get anything and I have good credit (just not enough- I've got a credit card that I'm never late on, a checking acct, and a monthly phone bill.... none of that was enough).

Good luck man!

Your only option is to get a loan through the dealer, if they offer it. Some do not ask for full coverage insurance.

Best of luck to you.

Apply for the Honda Card online...

About a year ago, when they were really trying to push the "Honda Card", they were literally handing them out if you applied online. Publicity/circulation of a new nationwide program is just as important as protecting the dollars they "loan" to you on the Honda Card....so in the interest of moving bikes off the sales floor, they would be quite generous with who they will qualify. Best part is, you can buy a used bike from a dealer that accepts the Honda Card, along with any gear/accessories you want. Since many are trading in the F3/F4 or 929 for an updated model, these used bikes are a great deal at a good price.

CitiFinancial is a band of bloody pirates, but they'll loan you money. They approved me for 10 grand when I was going to buy a DSM.

I instead turned down those theives, and paid for the 240 with a low interest (6.8) cash advance on my CC that I got as a special promotion.

Check out Citi. YOu really will save buckets of insurance money by having liability (or uninsured motorist if your state has a provision) instead of full coverage.

I never understood full coverage requirements on a bike anyhow...

Well, consider the bike buying option pretty much dead, I can't find a co-signer to get the loan, my brother was suppose to but he keeps putting it off, and all it would take is a 5 minute phone call.

And you know what tee's me off the most, the only reason I need a co-signer is because I have only been at my new job for 6months, and the job before that I was at for 4 years!!!

Life sucks, I guess I better learn to get use to it!
