Ok so i get up this morning with a list of things to do to the M starting with the the Megan Racing axle back exhaust so i get up on the ramps shut her down switch out the exhaust (they look awesome) and get back in to start it up to pull it off the ramps and nothing. Mind you its a brand new battery everything has power just hit the brake push the start button and it doesnt do anything it says lock doesnt even attempt to go to the acc nothing tried disconnecting the battery andd resetting and still nothing any suggestions or anything to try and fix this before i spend the money to tow it to the stearlership and have them "correct" the problem

Insert the fob in the slot on the lower left side and see if it is recognized. Possible weak fob battery.

You didn't touch anything electrical? Just the exhaust? Shouldn't be related then.

That being said, my 99 Maxima lost it's programming to the key out of the blue...so the car wouldn't start. I had to tow it to Nissan and they had to reprogram the key (NATS system I believe is what it was called on the Nissan)...might be something similar here where the key is detected as an Infiniti key, but doesn't have the programming necessary to actually start the car.

If it doesn't recognize the key, I think it will say no key where it says to hit the brakes and press the start button (only it will actually say "no key" vs that graphic). It will also show a graphic of steering wheel and arrows if the steering wheel interlock is preventing it from turning (this will prevent going to ACC, and you have to turn the steering wheel so it's between locked position clicks in order to let the ignition turn (same as if you were trying to turn it yourself with a real key), and it will show an arrow next to a P if you need to shift to park if the transmission interlock is causing the problem. If that lcd doesn't indicate a problem and everything else seems fine, it's probably something else. Only things I can think to do are check fuses and disconnect the battery from ground completely and wait a bit to reset everything. Unfortunately, that would have been good advice for last night when you could have left it disconnected overnight, but trying it for a few minutes this morning won't hurt.
