need help everyone...after taking out the keys the car is still running!!!!

Hi,

i have a 2002 spec v. I just got the car about a week ago and was experiencing some wierd problem. When i turn off the key, i can take the key out but the car is still running. after putting the key in a few times and taking it out, it still doesnt work.

What i did was wiggle the shift knob and took the key out and the engine shut off.

has anyone experince this problem before? if so what can it be?

help me out anyone!

I haven't experienced this problem on a Spec V, but I did experience this problem when I did my motor swap in the 92 SE-R. The ECU was the culprit for me, but don't know in your case. Call Nissan and ask, maybe they will give you a direct answer.

got it solved ..thanks everyone...it was the car starter.

its suppose to be like that if i pull the hand break then try to turn the car off.
